Funny captions

Princess twinkle has gotten herself stuck inside the washing machine. All she wanted was some chicken and liver cat food but it turned into a totally different story.  

     On a Teusday afternoon,  Oliver didn't expect this mysterious white bar to be THIS cold! His owner dropped the bar in the floor and  curiosity took over, now he's stuck!

Helga sat on this rock, she doesn't understand why the neighbor kids don't want to pet her, she knew she was friendly and just liked to cuddle. After waiting out on their front porch for an hour she finally came and sat on this rock.

Academic Shoot reflection

1. It was difficult to move around and try to get the shoot because the students would just stare at me and Im shy. It was also hard looking for all six of those elements. 
2. I just found myself thinking about the six elements of photography. Every picture that I took I had to make sure that i was getting the required pictures.
3. I would definently move around more and try to get the shots that i was supposed to get.  
4. I think it was a smart decision to go into a lot of different classrooms and try different environments and i would do the same thing next time also. 
5. Depending on what the prompt is, I think it will probably be hard to get framing or simplicity. 
6. Its pretty difficult to get framing because you have to have something on all four sides of the shot and you have to set it up just perfectly. 
7. Im still trying to figure out the rule of thirds and how to get a good shot of the rule of thirds. 

Africa

1. I really liked the pictures. They are amazing and definently extraordinary. I think this photographer had to go thorough a lot of trouble to get the shots and he probably risked a lot to get them. 

I really like this picture because it has simplicity and I get the feeling of peacefulness. It also had balance and its just a beautiful creature.










Photographer

1. He used a Pentax 6711 
2. He took the pictures to show the animals in the state that they are in before they cease to exist. 
3. He has made these types of pictures so that humans can see the beauty of these animals and hopefully influence people to be cognizant of it. 
4. " the photos are my elegy to these beautiful creatures, to this wrenchingly beautiful world that is steadily, tragically vanishing before our eyes."    

Mural project 
I think we should do a mural with student life with regular people from our school on the wall. I don't think it should be with just phones because not everyone has a smart phone. I think we should put the mural in the front of our school so that everyone can see it and our visitors can see what were doing in photo J. 

Academic shoot

Avoiding mergers 

I think i did a good job of showing a merger. The student in the picture, which is the subject, is getting cut off. I think its clear to the viewer that the subject that the student is the subject but its just not as good of a picture since her head is being chopped off. 

 Balance

I feel i did well in showing balance. The subject of picture is the students in general and the fact that their working. This is a good example of balance because if you took the picture and cut it in half it would be well balanced. 

Framing

This picture is a good example of framing because the floor and trimming of the door are forming the subject which is the girl working on the decoration of the door. The caution tape also frames the top of the picture very nicely. The subject is clearly the girl at work. 

Line

This picture has some good lines going on. It has horizontal and vertical lines so think it is good picture for line. The subject is the students reading. Since the subject is the student and their not centered, this would also work for the rule of thirds. 

Rule of thirds 

In this picture the girls doing their work are the subjects, they are not centered and are placed in the top left so I think this is a good rule of thirds picture. The girls are clearly the subjects. 

Simplicity 

This picture is a good simplicity picture because the subject, which is the girl, in the picture is the only thing in this picture.I think it is pretty clear that the girl is the subject since she is the only thing in the picture. 

Academics and community service

I picked the picture of the boy pouring two substances into a bigger test tube called "melancholy' 
     


     I picked this photo because I like the colors and elements in the picture. This picture is almost triply and very interesting to the eye. I really like how the boy and his test tubes are in focus and the background is very blurry and unfocused. It has a little bit of simplicity yet at the same time its so interesting and seems like a lot is going on.

1. I believe that in the classrooms we can find good subjects to use and also at organizational functions with all the extracurricular events and community service. 
2. I have no idea which classroom to visit. 
3. Take a LOT of pictures, move around, and be versatile. 

"Filling the frame"

      This photo definently fills the frame with interesting things. The students are doing something that has a little bit of mystery and is abnormal. This is not something that people do not do everyday so it definitely catches the viewers attention and gets them interested. 

"The Story"

      This photo tells the story of this teacher and the relationship with his students. I can visualize how being in that class would be. It is a very light-hearted picture that HAS to make the viewer smile and happy. The story in this picture is magical. :)  

"Action and Emotion"

     This photo really embodies emotion. I can see the emotion of all the people.  They're all there for a distinct purpose and you can see they are all uniting. All the people are coming together for the same cause. This just emotionally grabs the audience and viewers. 

Avoiding mergers

      This photo has mergers because it has grey on top of grey. This  photo isn't great because it makes the picture less interesting and kind of dull, it  would be better if the background was a different color.
